Dr. Fremgen joined Eye Physicians and Surgeons, S.C. in July of 1996. Dr. Fremgen, a native of Villa Park , Ill. attended University of Ill. undergraduate and medical school, and completed his ophthalmology residency at the prestigious Sinai Hospital in Detroit, where he served as Chief Resident.

While at Sinai Hospital, Dr. Fremgen received extensive experience in the latest techniques in cataract, refractive, and laser surgery, as well as all areas of ophthalmology including glaucoma, diabetic management, and oculoplastic surgery. During Dr. Fremgen's residency, Sinai Hospital was an investigational research site for the Visx excimer laser for refractive surgery. 

Dr. Fremgen has staff priveleges at Burlington Memorial Hospital and Lakeland Medical Center. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Wisconsin State Medical Society, Walworth County Medical Society, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and American Medical Association. 

Dr. Fremgen has many outdoor hobbies including golf, softball, watersports, and jogging. He is an active member of the Burlington Jaycees.
